Documentary Interview Plan

The expert that we plan to interview is the founder of the saber fit club. We will be shooting at one of our group members house to add a familial sort of sense to hopefully create a sense of calmness. Shooting there will also help with controlling the audio and lighting should be really easy to control with a lot of natural lighting to help with that sense of calmness. With the interviewer being the club founder we wanted a professional sort of feel but at the same time with the subject behind the club being Star Wars we wanted to project a casual feel as well. He's the expert but I feel like going with a super professional approach with no sort of fun in it would be disingenuous to the club itself and we want to paint the club in a light that is most appropriate and that the club founder is happy with.
questions that we plan to ask the interview subject are:

  1. What is the club?
  2. What was the idea/purpose behind the club?
  3. Are there any requirements for joining?
  4. What does a typical practice look like?
  5. How would you describe the energy of the club practices?
  6. How did you come up with the different stances and choreography for the club?
  7. Are the officers of the clubs organized differently than other clubs?
  8. What is your favorite part of the club?
  9. Do club members need to be star wars fans?
  10. What do you hope for the future of the club?
For our b-roll we plan to shoot one of their practices. Which will most likely be outside, which will  be harder to control the audio for but it most likely will not have a lot of audio that the viewer will need to pay attention to or follow intently. For the vox pops we will ask old and new members of the club:
  1. What do you think of the club?
  2. Would you recommend others join the club?
  3. What do you think you'll get out of the club?
